    Process Integration group is seeking a highly energetic individual to support process development related to MEMS (micro-mechanical electrical systems) fabrication.

    Requirements

    B.S. or M.S. in electrical, chemical, mechanical engineering with coursework or experience in microfabrication, MEMS, or semiconductor processing. Experience with thick resist photolithography, thin-film material science, or electrochemical methods, desired. Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must. Work experience 0 to 5 years.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze functional performance data, yield, fabrication, and reliability data related to MEMS-based probecard technology to enable improvements in process technology.
    • Plan, coordinate, and track material related to critical development activities.
    • Coordinate among process module owners to characterize process-performance relationships
    • Work across departments to integrate advanced process technologies into manufacturing.
    • Support design rule generation and validation for MEMS microfabrication
  • R&D Mechanical Engineer

    Description

    The mechanical engineer will report to the ME manager and will be responsible for precision mechanical design, thermomechanical FEA, and design package release.

    Responsibilities

    • Verification of mechanical designs.
    • Design new precision mechanics for new product development.
    • Documentation release to Doc Control for Manufacturing
    • Effective communications with R&D and manufacturing departments.

    Experience

    • MS (or BS) in mechanical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering etc.
    • 2+ years of design engineering experience in Solidworks, AutoCad or similar;
    • Position is flexible depending on experiences. New college graduates to senior level ME will also be considered.
    • Quick learner and self starter a must.
  • MEMS CMP Process Engineer

    Requirements

    • B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, with familiarity in microfabrication, MEMS, or semiconductor processing.
    • Experience with diamond turning, diamond flycut, precision machining, lapping, polishing, grinding, and/or dicing required. Ceramic lapping experience a plus.
    • Experience with CMP (chemical-mechanical planarization).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of DOE, SPC desired.

    Responsibilities

    • Process development for planarization and back-end, including lapping and polishing, grinding, and dicing, laser drilling and machining.
    • Provide line support (sustaining) for the Planarization area - lot dispositions, training and defect reduction efforts.
    • Support the development, evaluation and transfer into manufacturing of new processes.
    • Support evaluation and acceptance of new equipment, tooling, or metrology
    • Work to improve manufacturing area control systems to ensure consistent manufacturing processes
  • Sr. Test Engineer, Test Strategy Implementation

    Description

    Touchdown Technologies is seeking a motivated and accomplished hands-on Engineering leader to take charge of Test Strategy development and implementation, focused on critical component and final probe card testing and characterization.

    Requirements

    • Strong communicator with an ability to work cross functionally lead implementation of new test/characterization tools and operations
    • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply measurement science, and statistics in a volume manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Gauge Capability/R&R, Cpk, DOE and correlation practices
    • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience plus five years of relevant industry experience
    • Familiarity with metrology, semiconductor processing, PCB fabrication and related manufacturing / process technologies
    • Experience with electrical and mechanical measurement, including non-contact vision-based measurement systems: Should be able to learn to operate, master and teach others to use new metrology tools and systems.
    • Experience with MEMS or Wafer Probe Card metrology a plus
    • Knowledge high-frequency transmission line test techniques and parameters a plus

    Responsibilities

    • Work across manufacturing, test and assembly teams and develop and implement defined test strategies and deploy new tools and data management processes
    • Develop and manage ongoing correlation programs with key customers in concert with TdT Engineering, Sales and Support teams
    • Be an escalation point to resolve test technique and test tool performance challenges
    • Own and develop new metrology solutions. Work closely with suppliers to specify, evaluate, test, qualify and burn in new tools to ensure that reliability and performance goals are met before production release
    • Work with product design, supplier, quality and key manufacturing teams to ensure adequate test coverage of key component technology
  • R&D Precision Machining Engineer

    Description

    The precision machining engineer will be a member of the process integration department. The candidate will be responsible for the development of precision planarization processes and their transfer into manufacturing.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering, precision engineering or equivalent.
    • Hands on experience with single point diamond machining, flycut, grinding, lapping, polishing and/or dicing.

    Desired

    • Familiarity with microfabrication, MEMS, or semiconductor processing.
    • Experience with CMP and ceramic lapping.
    • Know how in metrology and CMM tools.

    Responsibilities

    • Research and development for diamond flycut process.
    • MEMS substrate planarization including grinding, lapping and polishing.
    • Substrate precision dicing, laser cutting and machining.
    • Support the development, evaluation and transfer into manufacturing of new processes.
    • Support evaluation and acceptance of new equipment, tooling or metrology.
    • Work to improve manufacturing area control systems to ensure consistent manufacturing processes.
  • Mechanical Design Engineer

    Requirements

    • Research & design micromachined probes using CAD for testing semiconductor equipment.
    • Consider material properties, mechanical & geometric structures & configurations.
    • Model, analyze & optimize probe designs using FEA tools (ANSYS).
    • Develop photomasks using AutoCAD.
    • Prepare reports on performance of probes under different process & test conditions utilizing scanning electronic microscope and optical profiler.
    • MS in Mechanical Engineering or related.
    • Knowledge in AutoCAD, ANSYS, or similar preferred.
    • Position is flexible depending on experiences. New college graduates to senior level ME will also be considered.
